Delivery

Thanks to everyone for their recent donations.  I updated the totals when I made a delivery this afternoon.

Neighborhood Breakfast

Our Neighborhood Christmas Breakfast will be held on December 10th at 8:30am at the church.  The neighborhood is supporting the Heart to Heart Humanitarian Project this year to help those in need.  If you can help, the following is a list of items currently needed by this effort. Please bring the items you have to donate to the breakfast; they will then be delivered to the people assembling the welcome kits so they can be used at Christmas time.  The needs are great.  Thank you for your kind heart during this wonderful Christmas season and all year long. 

The items are (can be new or gently used):

• soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, etc.
• infant toys that will fit in kits
• toddler toys such as dump trucks, tractors, fire trucks, police cars, Thomas the Train toys, Superman action figures, Spiderman action figures, robots, Transformers
• Disney dolls like Cinderella, Tangled, any of the princesses, etc.
• Lion King Characters
• Snoopy
• Hello Kitty
• Dora dolls
• Kohl's characters
• all kinds of children's books
• children's games such as Candy Land, Sorry, Uno, Phase 1, etc.

If you won't be at the breakfast, you are always welcome to drop things off at Heidi's house.

AMAZING GENEROSITY

Well, the call was answered by our neighborhood.  By the time supplies were delivered for the urgent call, the entry of my home was nearly half way filled with your deliveries.  A combination of supplies and money really helped the effort.

Thank you for sharing your abundance and for responding so quickly to the need.  I was overwhelmed by the love that came pouring out of our neighborhood.  Count living here as one of your blessings.

URGENT NEED

An urgent request has been put out for 50 hygiene kits to give to youth escapees from polygamy.  They were just placed and have absolutely nothing.  These kits will be assembled and distributed tomorrow. 

You are welcome to donate supplies or even money to buy the supplies if you possibly can.

Especially needed are:

• shaving gel
• deodorant
• hair spray
• socks
• white towels

Just imagine what you would need if you had to leave your home with nothing, and you can be certain that these youth need those same basics.
