I made a delivery to Linda this afternoon. Notice the tally of donations on this blog; the support our neighborhood is giving is AMAZING. Thank you to everyone for their donations. This week, we had a friend of a friend donate her entire porcelain doll collection to the Heart to Heart project. We appreciate everyone's generosity.
I hope you had a chance to watch the news segment last night; hopefully, more people will be inspired to help. This week alone, there was a need for over 75 kits. Right now, there is a shortage of ribbon (curling, fabric, anything Linda can use to wrap up the welcome kits), activity books for teens (crosswords, word searches, sudoku, etc.), and black felt hearts(for teenage boys).
On Tuesday, March 22nd at 10am, there will be a crochet class at Heidi's house. If you'd like to learn to crochet, please bring an "H" hook and 8-9 ounces of yarn that you'd like to work with. Kris will be teaching. If you don't want to learn to crochet, come work on your Heart to Heart project and enjoy the company of others.
Tentatively, we have an evening crochet class set for March 29th. Details to follow.
