With the donations that have been delivered by all of you to me over the last two weeks, I was able to FILL the back of my Suburban yesterday. Soon, I will post a running total of all items donated by our neighborhood so you can see our progress throughout the year. Linda was very excited and thrilled and grateful to see how generous our neighborhood is with the Heart to Heart Project. Thank you so much for catching the spirit of this project and making it a focus in your lives.
For the record, Linda has already put together 369 welcome kits in 2011 and delivered them to women and children in need.
Right now, there is a special need for make-up (especially basics like mascara) and activity books for older kids/teens. If anybody sees any great deals, let me know, and I'll put the word out.
On Wednesday, March 16th, Channel 2 will be featuring Linda and her project in their "Pay It Forward" segment. Please set your DVRs so you can enjoy the coverage.
